HEIRS OF GOD

The LORD God Almighty, the Creator of the universe, the One is the Alpha and the Omega, the One was, and is, and is to come, loves us with such amazing love! He rescued us from our sin, and the consequences of it. Not just that, He then bestowed upon us, this unmerited favour to be called His sons and daughters. What a loving God is He!!! I am overwhelmed by such amazing love!!!

The LORD, through apostle Paul, announces this – “26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” – Galatians 3:26-29

Our status and position is changed overnight. All those of us, who have accepted Jesus Christ as our LORD and Saviour, are now the children of God, because of what the LORD Jesus had done on the cross of Calvary – “12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” – John 1:12-13

I am overwhelmed by such gracious, merciful and generous outpouring of love upon worthless and useless people. I am amazed at this turn of events, purely because of our LORD and Creator. – “4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.” – Titus 3:4-8

Dear LORD, help us to always be grateful and thankful to you for your generous and magnanimous love, and to live in a way that will honour You, and will glorify You. Even so, the LORD help us.
