Diligence is an old English word, which aptly describes and defines a certain trait that is much needed for success in life. The word “Diligent” comes from the Latin, which means “to value highly” or “to take delight in.” In English it has always meant “careful and hard-working.” The idea of being a diligent worker means a worker, who doesn’t, blindly and mechanically does his job, but rather, earnestly and sincerely, with all his heart and mind, does everything right, to the best of his ability.
