GOD IS FAITHFUL

It is good to remind ourselves constantly that, God is good and gracious, and is overlooking the sin and evil that is in the world – “9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” – 2 Peter 3:9

Not only that the LORD God Almighty, is overlooking the wickedness of the world, and waiting, but is standing with all those who are willing to walk in His ways faithfully. The Bible records this, to help us see the goodness and the grace of God, towards us – “22 Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. 23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” “13 If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.” – Lamentations 3:22-23, 2 Timothy 2:13

Many times, we as Christians falter, fail and fall down. The LORD our Redeemer, despite our failures, He has chosen to show His faithfulness towards us – “3 But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” – 2 Thessalonians 3:3

If it were not for God’s mercy and faithfulness, we would have been destroyed long back. Isn’t that true? Therefore, “23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” – Hebrews 10:23
