Prophet Isaiah lived and ministered during one of the toughest times in the history of Israel. On the one side was the power and might of Assyria, and on the other is, the deafness and the blindness of the people of Israel, who refused to listen to the warnings about the impending judgement of God, because of their sin and rebellion against God.
In the midst of gloom, and the coming destruction, Isaiah declares, “1 O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.” – Isaiah 25:1. As for as this ‘Servant of YAHWEH’ is concerned, he is safe and secure in the providence and the protection provided by His God. How wonderful and comforting are these words of the prophet!!!
Come what may, and whatever may befall us, as the children of God, let us be rest assured in this truth, that the LORD God Almighty is still on the throne, and that He is concerned about us, and cares for us and our welfare. What else do we want? No, nothing, for a child of God, under the safety of His wings – Psalm 91:1. Therefore, let us, like the prophet Isaiah, keep singing God’s praise, as we journey through the ups and the downs of our lives.
"Nothing whatever, whether great or small, can happen to a believer, without God's ordering and permission. There is no such thing as "chance," "luck" or "accident" in the Christian's journey through this world. All is arranged and appointed by God. And all things are "working together" for the believer's good."
