David has a wonderful way of asking questions and answering it himself, in many of his psalms. It speaks, not only of his skill as a writer, but also about his understanding about human heart, our lives and above all God, who is the glue that holds everything together.
Psalm 24 is one such Psalm, where David writes, “7 Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah” – Psalms 24:7-10
The King of glory is YAHWEH Himself. The LORD is strong and mighty – mighty in battle. The King of glory is the LORD of hosts – the God of all creation. The LORD God Almighty, to whom nothing is impossible. HalleluYah!!! Isn’t that comforting?
Whatever may be we are going through – Whatever may be that is troubling us – Whatever may we are scared and afraid of – we don’t need to when we know the King of glory! Let us therefore, go to this King of glory, and lay at His feet, all that is troubling us. He will take care of it.
"King of Glory means that glory starts and ends with God. As humans, we should want to see the glory of God in our lives. Having God’s glory settles many things, and no one can take His glory from us."
