May 24, 2023The Bible, which is the written Word of God, though presents the sin, judgement and the gloom as they are, yet, it doesn’t leave us hopeless. A person who turns towards God has their help at hand and a hope of long lasting joy and peace. The LORD God Almighty, doesn’t abandon those who truly seek Him and desire to walk in His ways.
The LORD, speaking through prophet Amos, about sinfulness and the wickedness of the people of Israel, concludes thus in Amos 9:13 – “13 “Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “When the plowman shall overtake the reaper, And the treader of grapes him who sows seed; The mountains shall drip with sweet wine, And all the hills shall flow with it.”
Behold the days are coming, when sin will have no dominion, nor evil any power. These blessed days are for those, who turn to the LORD Jesus Christ. When the world, which is steeped in sin and rebellion, turns to God, and seeks His forgiveness, the LORD in His grace and mercy will forgive the sin, and will restore those seekers to a perpetual peace, joy and prosperity – John 3:16.
I am so thankful to the LORD for His grace and mercy, poured out on an undeserving sinner, which all of us are, and grants me a life that cannot be earned through good works, nor bought in any other way.
May the LORD help us all to be His witnesses in an ever darkening world, as we await those blessed days, which are coming, and which are ours through our LORD.
