Man’s problems are so intensely complicated that, it is humanly impossible to find any meaningful solution. Man had been trying his best to find solutions to his problems, ever since Adam and Eve had sinned. Sadly, the results are there for all to see. We have deteriorated from bad to worse, and further going down the hill, with no sight of any meaningful solution.
Thankfully the LORD of all creation, God our Creator has not abandoned His creation. Nor had He rejected and disowned us. Instead, He took upon Himself the responsibility to reach out, rescue, redeem, restore and rejuvenate us, to the original image, that we were given, prior to our rebellion. What do we call such a good, gracious and merciful Person? It is not any surprise that, John Newton begins his hymn, a personal reflection of his life, and the love of God towards him, with these words – “Amazing grace, how sweet the sound…”
Is “Amazing Grace” our song too? The LORD, through the prophet Isaiah, has these words mentioned in Isaiah 12:2, which can help us to begin our day with a song, just like John Newton…
– “2 Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.'” – Isaiah 12:2
The Bible is encouraging us to know that – YAHWEH is our strength, our song and our salvation; therefore, we must learn to trust Him, and not be afraid of anything. Is God “MY STRENGTH AND MY SONG” should be a question, that we must be asking ourselves, as frequently as possible. This helps us, not only to ascertain the direction of our thoughts and feelings, but also helps us in reaffirming the truth, that it is LORD who goes with us, and that we are not left alone, to fend for ourselves. Isn’t that wonderful and amazing? It sure is, my dear friend!!!
May the good LORD bless our day, and all that we do. May we keep singing to our God, grateful and thankful songs of praise, all through this day, and all through our lives. Even so the LORD help us.
"For YAH, the LORD, is my strength and song: The LORD is not only the worshipper’s salvation, He is also his strength and song. Some find it easier to consider the LORD their salvation in a distant “bye-and-bye” sense than to take Him today as their strength and song. When the LORD is our strength, it means that He is our resource, He is our refuge. We look to Him for our needs and are never unsatisfied."
