Life throws a lot of questions at us. For some questions, we can find answers. For some others, we may find answers at a later time. For some questions, we may not find any reasonable answers. This is life.
However, as a Christian, and a disciple of the LORD Jesus Christ, we can and should place our faith in Him, when we face troubling and unanswered questions. Also, we should continue our walk, by placing our faith in Him. This is the life of a disciple.
Asaph of the Bible, had some troubling issues, and he cries out to the LORD in Psalm 77, which is titled as “The Consoling Memory of God’s Redemptive Works.” He cries out to YAHWEH, the LORD God Almighty, in verses 1-9. He is deeply troubled and in anguish, yet Asaph begins verse 10 with these words, “10 And I said, “This is my anguish; But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.”
Many times, when there are no clear answers for all that we are facing in life, we ought to fall back on the memory of God’s goodness, His grace and His mercy towards us, in the past. If we remember God’s faithfulness in His dealings with us, then we will have hope for all our present and future troubles and issues.
Let us take time to remember all that the LORD had done for us in the past. This will suffice for us, to walk with faith and courage, even though we are besotted by troubling matters. Many a child of God had done so, in the past, and this is a sure walk to safety. For the LORD is our Shepherd, and He will takes care of us, as in the past.
"All God's giants have been weak men and women who have gotten hold of God's faithfulness."
