WHAT DOES LOVE LOOK LIKE?

The Bible says, “God so LOVED the world!” The LORD did not leave it there. He turned that love into action, and pursued His thought passionately, and took it to its logical end – “…that He GAVE His only begotten Son…”

The love of God doesn’t stop there – “…that WHOSOEVER believes in Him should NOT perish…” How wonderful!!! The LORD went even further than that – “…but HAVE eternal life.” The LORD showered all this love on a world, which has intentionally sinned and rebelled against Him…that is US!

The LORD, who loved us and saved us, expects us to be the same in our love towards others around us…even our enemies. The LORD Jesus says “43Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;” – Matthew 5:43-44

The LORD wants us to be His hands, eyes and His ears in helping all who are in need, out of love and concern. Love, if just an emotion, is of not much use, and is of very little worth to us. Therefore, it needs to be seen.

This is love! Love in action! It not only loves the unlovable, but goes beyond to do something, so that the person is lifted up and empowered. Oh, what love is this!!!
